おもてかんばん【表看板】

〔劇場の〕 a sign at the front entrance of a theater indicating the name of the play, the main performers, and (perhaps) the dates of the performance; 《米》 a marquee; 〔世間向けの名目〕 one's public image [facade, front]. [⇒かんばん]
